When AXE Bullet surveyed 1034 women between the ages
of 18-30 years old, they came up with some interesting result. The
survey was a publicity stunt to promote a world first, pocket-sized
deodorant bodyspray for males. A bodyspray designed to encourage guys
to act fast and seize upon those unexpected 'meet-the-right-girl'
opportunities.
Some hidden secrets were revealed by the company:
The preferred place for a male to meet a female:
• 53% suggested a coffee shop
• 41% a bookstore
• 40% thought a gym would be ideal
• 36% a place of religious worship was the place to meet a guy
• 35% while shopping in a supermarket
When did the girls consider it was the best time to meet a girl?
•90%
said they have seen cute looking males as they went about their daily
routines. They just wished the guys would get up enough courage to
start a conversation with them. Some even hoped the guys would make a
move on them
•65% felt they were at their best during the summer season. That
was when they felt the most carefree, ready for fun and ripe for a
romantic fling
•63% wished a guy gave a flirtatious look at, would take the plunge and begin a conversation with them
Is the way a guy approaches a girl of importance?
•68%
said absolutely yes. A male's approach, as in the confidence he gives
off, his style, wit and humour, is the thing that is of the utmost
importance to the girls
•20% believed that the physical appearance is important
•11% are influenced by the time of day, as well as the place of the meeting
Are there any clues that girls often use to let the guys know they are interested in them?
•69% felt eye contact and a smiling flirty smile were top of their list
•37% seeking the guy's opinion or advice on something
•30% agree most men miss their opportunities by not picking up on signals put out by the girl
•26% felt that talking with his friends and not the man himself was useful
•23% simply asking for the time was the easiest
Did how the guy smelt have anything to do with the encounter?
•89%
said they would very definitely turn a guy down if he did not smell
good(This was AXE Bullet's punch line. Guys have to be prepared. They
need to have AXE Bullet body deodorant in his pocket).
You can
just imagine it. Girl sees boy. Girl sends her 'come and get me'
signals. Boy turns away quickly, so he can check out his body odour.
Boy whips out AXE Bullet body deodorant and quickly applies it. How and
where he applies it is not totally clear. Is it underarm, behind the
ear, or...? We will leave that to the imagination. Boy turns back once
more to face the girl. Music of anticipation plays provocatively in the
background. Girl sends out some more signals. Boy steps up and...
Will
someone out there please and up and get real? This is the day and age
of financial crisis and the fear of world-wide depression, attacks of
terrorism, wars and rumours of wars, one sex relationships, instant
communication and the era of the independent woman. Here we have a
company who presents us with a scene right out a Clarke Gable film. The
next thing we will have will be Tarzan swinging out of the trees and
picking Jane up off the street and carrying her back into the forest on
his trusty vine. It's about time we all got back to the real basics and
learned to respect each other as human beings. Relationships, of any
level, are all about being tolerant of each other and being real. We
should no longer, in this age of information, be led along by the nose
by a bunch of money-grabbing advertising agents.
